The Good Life Score2023-10-09
“Life is really simple, but men insist on making it complicated.”
—Confucius
Good health in general, and good mental health in particular, are important to a good life and to longevity. While there are continuously improving diagnostic and treatment choices becoming available, early lifestyle changes and prevention are still the most effective ways to have a good life.
The 7 highest impact, proactive, lifestyle activities that can be adopted and implemented by anybody, regardless of socio-economic circumstances, are the following:
- Food — eat a mostly plant-based, Mediterranean diet.
- Exercise — get at least ten thousand steps each day.
- Sleep — get at least 7 hours every night.
- Intimacy — hug, cuddle, or more with an intimate partner.
- Social — talk to family and friends.
- Usefulness — be helpful to others.
and last but not least,
- Addictions — recognize and avoid them.
We will release a new version of our Life x Mind App (current users get free updates) where we will introduce this Good Life Score, so people can track and improve their lifestyle, and directly see the impact it has on their mental health. It will be interesting to see how sustaining such active longevity practices influences MindX One blood test results.
