Behaviors (what you allow in your life, what you do, what you feel and think) are the main determinants of success or failure in life. Very rarely do external, overwhelming, accidental events trump your own behaviors in terms of impact. The battles for control of your behaviors, between what is good for you vs. what is good for others, between being self-determining vs. being a pawn in somebody else’s game, are the key battles of the Game of Life.

You have to have a clear idea of what Life Success looks like for you. There are some universal things related to that (longevity, physical health, mental health, progeny, wealth, influence, social connections, environment, culture). Derive your Life Satisfaction from true Life Success, not substitutive behaviors and addictions (biological, chemical, informational). Increased Life Satisfaction leads to Active Longevity.

Decide how you invest your resources (time, energy, attention) in order to achieve your Life Success goals. Grow the Knowledge and Intelligence needed to enact the correct Behaviors. Accumulate Money to be able to purchase the fruits of the labors of others.
