The Secret of (Improved) Medical Outcomes2026-03-16

What important truth do very few people agree with you on?

Peter Thiel

Most people think that medical outcomes are related to the excellence of the medical care provided, but in reality treating the hidden mental health component may the highest yield way to rapidly improve medical outcomes.

If a field of medicine is already mature, the clinicians are experienced, and are using state-of-the art methodology, there are always some 1 to n improvements that can be made.

However, the major 0 to 1 improvements are in addressing the hidden mental health component of most all medical disorders. That component leads to delayed diagnosis, reduced compliance to treatment, slower healing, relapses, and chronicization.

The reasons for that are biological, sociological and psychological.

We have developed testing and tools to comprehensively and precisely address hidden mental health issues (https://mindxsciences.com), and look forward to working with colleagues in other medical specialties to improve outcomes. We foresee applications in fields as varied as transplants, chronic pain, cardiology, and preventative/executive health. As these precision mental wellness tools get deployed widely and democratized, my hope (and life mission) is that every single person will receive the equivalent of preventative executive health. It will be great for patients, and great socio- economically for our nation.

Live. Happier. Longer.
